S.T.E.P. Academy is a 5 week Virtual Class held through Zoom. We meet once a week on Thursday at 7:30 pm EST. "I was in a low place in my life when I caught my high school friend La Tonya (Evangelist La Tonya Jackson) online doing a live worship service. This was in March 2020. Just when Covid-19 started. The world around me was crashing down and I was losing my faith quickly. At the end of the worship La Tonya invited everyone to purchase her book S.T.E.P. and join her in an online study group. I figured I would give it a try, so I joined her very first S.T.E.P. class. Since then I have learned so much about my faith and worship. I have met some wonderful ladies who have taught me to embrace my faith in GOD and to learn to use my voice. Literally. I was never taught how to pray out loud. I did not know that GOD wants to hear our voice, he NEEDS to hear our voice. I learned this from my class. Now I know how to Seek GOD in all ways, Trust in what he has planned for my life, Expect GOD to fulfill his promises to us, and last, but not least, Pray to GOD with my voice. My life is truly blessed from being a part of the S.T.E.P. class. Thank you for giving me my voice in prayer."

"February 24, 1967, I was burned. My mother was making my lunch ( I was in Kindergarten ) and she needed to change my sisters diaper, she told me to stay away from the stove, but I didn't listen, I put a chair up to the stove and the hem of my dress was laying in the fire of the gas stove. I Received 3rd degree burns to over 50% of my body. I've never felt pretty or beautiful. People used to stare at me all the time. I wondered why they just wouldn't ask me what happened! I wore long sleeve until I was about 14-15 years old. I pray all the time asking, "God why me?," He replied, "why not you!" And I decided I can't suffer in the heat because of others. I took off my long sleeves and was relieved! He told me I was beautiful like I am. All I had to do was believe Him and I do! My self worth and confidence was renewed by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The S.T.E.P classes opened up my vision on my wanting to write a book for children who suffered burns or other injuries and may feel like I felt, to encourage them, and let them know they too are beautiful."
